This is a 5 x 7 flat card (not folded) with illustrations on both sides. The front features woodland elements and greenery surrounding a framed calligraphy “Merry Christmas” on cream colored 110# cotton textured cardstock. The back is framed with black text (font, not hand lettered) listing a few popular Christmas carols/hymns. There’s room for you to write a quick note or just a simple holiday greeting. The envelopes are a coordinating cream color of premium 70# paper quality with straight flap.

This calligraphic snowflake started out with ink, pen, and paper in my studio. I really enjoy making these snowflakes (or are they stars?) and the more I make, the wider variety of organic designs occur. This season, I printed the snowflake (we’ll go with that!) with a dark green background, making the snowflake white. Then I add gold glittery details by hand on each one. The inside is blank for your own kind sentiments to send.

Send your holiday greetings in this A-2 sized card (4.25 x 5.5 vertical). I painted the wreath, which features my favorite pinecones, and I added a few leaves among the pine boughs. A scattering of red berries here and there with woodland twigs give an old-fashioned flair to this design. Inside the card, on the bottom right-hand corner is a little pinecone motif! A little extra surprise there for your recipient, but the main event will be your own words or signature. Peace on Earth, Joy to the World, and Hope Was Born This Night are simple but powerful phrases in three of our Christmas carols. Arranged with a mix of my calligraphy, typography, and my watercolor pinecone motif with a cheery “Merry Christmas” on the inside. Simple and joyous!
